Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as information we obtain automatically when you use our service. We do not store your full payment card numbers; payment card processing is handled by our payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal).

Information you give us:

Account: name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form)
Optional: phone number (for verification), profile avatar
Profile and preferences: timezone, currency, country, date of birth, risk profile, self-exclusion and spending limits, email notification settings, leaderboard visibility
Communications: messages you send to support, contact forms, or email replies to our messages
Optional marketing signup: if you use the homepage form to hear about Racing Multiple / Race Builder emails, we collect your email, opt-in confirmation, consent version, and unsubscribe token — separate from service emails unless you hold an account with the same address

Information we collect automatically or derive:

Payment and subscription: Stripe/PayPal customer and subscription IDs, transaction records (amount, currency, tokens, status), billing period dates
Usage: tips and predictions you save (match, odds, stake, result), race builder and racing multiple usage counts, unsaved bet/racing multiple data if you use save features
Security and abuse prevention: IP address, device fingerprint (where used), failed login attempts, account lockout status
Cookie consent: your choices for essential, analytics, functional, and marketing cookies; we may store a session or user identifier, IP, and user agent when you set preferences

If you use our referral programme:

  • Referral and conversion data (who referred whom, whether a referral purchased or subscribed)
  • Commission amounts and payout status (where applicable)
  • Payout method details (e.g. bank account name, number, sort code, bank name, or PayPal details) if you request payouts

We also store verification codes (email and SMS) temporarily, session data for keeping you logged in, and—if you sign in with a third-party provider—identifier and token data from that provider. Email delivery and engagement (e.g. opens, clicks) may be logged for operational and support purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Create and manage your account, and authenticate you
Provide our services (e.g. AI horse racing tips, race builder, racing multiple builder, subscriptions)
Process payments and subscriptions, and send transaction or renewal confirmations
Send you service-related messages (e.g. verification, password reset, subscription notices)
Respond to your enquiries and support requests
Personalise your experience (e.g. timezone, preferences, risk profile)
Prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues (e.g. using IP and device information)
Analyse usage to improve our product and AI (where we have a lawful basis)
Send marketing or promotional emails only where you have agreed or we are otherwise permitted by law
Run our referral programme and process commissions and payouts (where applicable)
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

Where we use analytics or marketing cookies, we do so in line with your cookie preferences. You can change these at any time via our cookie settings or the Cookies page.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (UK/EEA)

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, we process your personal data on the following bases:

  • Contract: To perform our contract with you (e.g. account, subscriptions, payments, tips, support).
  • Consent: Where you have given consent (e.g. optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies, optional profile fields). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: To run and improve our service, prevent fraud and abuse, ensure security, and defend our rights, where this does not override your interests.
  • Legal obligation: Where we must process data to comply with the law.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK).

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data only as follows:

  • Payment and billing: Stripe and PayPal process payments. They receive the information needed to complete transactions (e.g. email, billing details). Their use of your data is governed by their privacy policies.
  • Email and communications: We use providers such as Resend to send emails. They process your email address and content as necessary to deliver and track messages.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: Our app and database may be hosted on services (e.g. Vercel, database providers) that process data on our instructions.
  • Analytics: If you consent to analytics cookies, we may use services such as Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics. These providers may collect identifiers and usage data as described in our Cookies page.
  • Legal and safety: We may disclose data to regulators, law enforcement, or others when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
  • With your consent: We may share information with other parties when you have given clear consent.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Passwords are stored in hashed form. Payment card details are not stored on our systems; they are handled by our payment providers. We use secure connections (e.g. HTTPS) and restrict access to personal data to those who need it for the purposes described in this policy.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at contact@www.horsetips.ai.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data only for as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy and to meet legal, tax, or regulatory requirements.

  • Account and profile: Until you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, plus any retention required by law after that.
  • Payment and subscription records: As long as needed for billing, refunds, and legal/tax obligations (often several years).
  • Tips and usage data: For the life of your account unless you delete the data or your account.
  • Verification codes: Short-term; deleted or anonymised after use or expiry.
  • Cookie consent and logs: As described in our cookie policy or for a reasonable period for compliance and support.
  • Support and communications: For as long as needed to resolve enquiries and for legitimate business or legal purposes.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our systems and legal obligations. Some data (e.g. aggregated or anonymised statistics, or records we must keep by law) may be retained after account deletion.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Have inaccurate data corrected
Request deletion of your data (including via account deletion in settings)
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where we rely on it
Receive a portable copy of your data (data portability)
Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (e.g. ICO in the UK)

You can update many details (e.g. name, timezone, notification preferences) in your account settings. You can delete your account and data at any time from our dedicated Delete my data page, or from account or dashboard settings; this will remove your profile and associated data as described in our systems and retention policy.

To exercise any of these rights or if you have questions about your privacy, contact us at: contact@www.horsetips.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation (e.g. session and authentication), and—only if you consent—for analytics and optional functionality. We record your cookie preferences (including consent choices) and may store a session or user identifier, IP address, and user agent when you set them.

Essential cookies are necessary for the site to function. Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics) help us understand how the site is used. Functional and marketing cookies are used only with your consent. You can change your preferences at any time via our cookie banner or the Cookies page.

9. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate our app. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they use data:

Our site may also link to other websites (e.g. social media, bookmakers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please read their policies before providing any data.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is for entertainment only and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us at contact@www.horsetips.ai and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Transfers

We and our service providers may store and process your data in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, or other countries. Where we transfer data from the UK or EEA to countries that are not considered to provide an adequate level of data protection, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms) to protect your information in line with applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. For material changes we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice in our service where appropriate. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
